Samira Rathod, the brilliant architect behind this design, explained that the house’s clever layout harnesses the wind’s natural cooling properties. “We studied the direction of the winds, the layout, and the materials used to effectively reduce the heat,” she shared. The house’s exterior may appear uninviting, with thick gray and black façades hiding its entrance, but it soon reveals a vibrant interior filled with light and greenery.

Inside, the architecture unfolds like a serene oasis. The structure is designed to embrace the wind currents from the nearby ocean. A narrow central split allows cool breezes to flow through, mimicking the Venturi effect—where the wind speeds up as it passes through the tight gap, much like a river rushing through a narrow pass.

As the sea air enters, it first reaches an inviting courtyard with a tranquil pool, which further cools the temperature before distributing it throughout the home. Nestled within this 10,500 square-foot dwelling, families can enjoy the luxury of being comfortable year-round while surrounded by nature and greenery.
