Meeting monthly in Ellekers Wood, close to Bradford, these skilled woodworkers turn unwanted timber into charming keepsakes. Recently, Storm Amy swept through Shipley, toppling a robust alder tree. Clive Nutton, a devoted club member, stepped in to rescue the fallen timber. Once the tree was reduced to logs, Clive eagerly transported the wood back to the club.

The transformation began almost immediately. Clive and his fellow artisans turned the once-mature alder into an enchanting array of bowls, spoons, and steins. “It’s wonderful to see these trees find new life,” Clive remarked. “They hold a piece of the forest’s spirit.”
