This week, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, celebrated a heartfelt milestone as the Veterans Community Project (VCP) marked the groundbreaking for its sixth tiny home village. With a mission to support military veterans transitioning from homelessness, VCP is paving the way for a brighter future through individualized care and a nurturing community.

Since it opened its doors in 2018, VCP has become a sanctuary for countless veterans, welcoming residents into tiny homes that offer comfort and stability. The latest development will feature 40 homes, each thoughtfully designed to fit the needs of its inhabitants. Each 240-square-foot house is more than just a shelter—it’s a launchpad for renewed independence.

VCP has notably achieved an impressive 85% success rate for veterans who complete their program and move on to permanent housing in an average of just 335 days. In 2025 alone, 29 veterans proudly graduated from VCP life into their own homes, demonstrating that transformation is possible with the right support.

The new village in Milwaukee joins existing locations in cities like Kansas City and St. Louis, expanding the VCP family to six vibrant communities comprising 240 tiny homes. These villages serve as a model for addressing veteran homelessness nationwide, proving that a practical approach can bring about generational change.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, co-founder Bryan Meyer, a veteran himself, shared an emotional moment, stating, “Today marks the beginning of change that will ripple through generations.
