Sometimes, a simple family farm can become a beacon of creativity and joy, uniting communities through shared stories and experiences. Treworgy Orchards in Maine has found a way to celebrate local culture, while also bringing delight to visitors with magnificent corn mazes that spark nostalgia and smiles.

Nestled in the heart of Maine, Treworgy Orchards has made a name for itself by crafting enchanting corn mazes that capture the imagination. This year, they’ve distinguished themselves yet again, clinching the title of the nation’s best corn maze for the fourth consecutive year, a title determined by the engaging votes of USA Today readers.

Open from Tuesdays to Sundays until the crisp days of November, tickets to this fun-filled autumn adventure are priced at $12 on weekdays and $15 on weekends. A special exception allows children aged two and under, as well as members of the fishing industry, to enjoy the maze for free—a thoughtful nod to the local community.

This year’s maze theme is both whimsical and deeply rooted in Maine’s identity, drawing inspiration from “the farmer and the fisherman,” reflected beautifully on the state’s flag. Within the maze, visitors can find a striking design featuring a whale, not merely as a nod to classic literature such as Moby Dick, but as a celebration of the beloved children’s book by Robert McCloskey, Burt Dow, Deep-Water Man.

In previous years, Treworgy’s mazes have also dazzled with themes from Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit and the adventures of Winnie the Pooh, each designed to evoke smiles and cherished memories. As Jonathan Kenerson, co-owner of Treworgy Orchards, says, “This maze allows us to honor both Maine’s agricultural heritage and the fishermen who are such an important part of our state’s economy and culture.”

The dedication to honoring local lore transforms a simple outing into a heartfelt experience filled with laughter and nostalgia. As families wander through the towering cornstalks, they aren’t just navigating a maze—they’re connecting with the stories that shape their community.

Join in the fun of this delightful autumn tradition and share the joy of Treworgy Orchards—a true gem in the vibrant tapestry of America’s North Atlantic!
