Imagine watching a rocket launch or floating alongside astronauts from the comfort of your own couch! In an exciting collaboration, Netflix is teaming up with NASA to bring space exploration into your living room, making the wonders of the universe more accessible than ever before.

Netflix will soon allow viewers to view rocket launches and live streaming from outer space through a content partnership with American space agency NASA.

On a hopeful Monday, Netflix announced its upcoming NASA+ feed, a cozy couch-friendly way to experience the thrills of space travel. From exhilarating rocket launches to breathtaking views of Earth—250 miles above—it’s a dream come true for space enthusiasts and casual viewers alike!

As part of this partnership, Netflix promises viewers “jaw-dropping” sights directly from the International Space Station (ISS) and heart-pounding astronaut spacewalks that might just make your palms sweat. It’s all about making the magic of space a little closer to home.

Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+, emphasized the importance of connecting with a broader audience through this venture. “Our Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience,” she said. With this collaboration, families can discover the universe right from their living rooms or even on their phones.

Excitingly, this streaming experience won’t cost viewers a dime; NASA+ programming will remain free on the NASA.gov website and its mobile app, ensuring that everyone can join in on the adventure.

And there’s more! Earlier this month, Netflix also announced a partnership with the French television group TF1, indicating a growing effort to diversify its content offerings across the globe. This latest venture, set to launch in summer 2026, will grant Netflix viewers in France access to five TV channels and a streaming platform.

Though the terms of the NASA deal weren’t disclosed, it signals Netflix’s commitment to innovate and engage its audience. Just last year, the streaming giant ventured into livestreaming sports events, including two NFL games and a highly publicized boxing match, showing just how far it’s willing to go to keep viewers entertained.

This new chapter of space exploration on Netflix surely marks a thrilling moment for both space fans and casual viewers, making it easier than ever to gaze at the stars—no telescope required!
