As Anna Wierzbicka, a key figure in this project, explains, mobility is a priority: “We envision a walking robot with legs inspired by the chamois, enabling it to traverse steep mountain terrains with ease.”

The robogoat isn’t just about mobility; it’s about efficiency and expertise. As foresters engage in meticulous work like identifying tree species and checking for pests, the robot will streamline these efforts. “These tasks typically require a specialist, and we’re seeing fewer of them,” Wierzbicka points out.
